Flu
Don't you hate it when you get crook just before the weekend?
Started on Weds arvo as a tickle..now I can't even talk.

Might not get all that much done on Mr B this weekend.
I have started buying things like snips and other tools though...

Update!

Ok - I'm back.
It may take me a while to fill you in with the last few weeks/months, but bear with me.
As for today, to give you an example of the fast-paced Dry season days I've been facing, here what I did:
12:00am 2:00am: Last cuppla hours of a shift working at Happy Yess
Last night was Kris' big Sonic Yoof tribute. It went off! Not to mention the feedback orchestra afterwards int he shed out the back. Picture ten musicians with stringed instruments ranging from guitars to double bass, violin - all playing into a wall of amps, each trying to shape the feedback in their own way. I had earplugs, and I have to say, I feel sorry for anyone who didn't.
So I was back at the venue helping Deb and Kris pack up, until maybe 1:30. Halfheartedly stopped in at Squire's on the way home, thankfully there wasn't anyone there who I knew.
11:30 am: Nightlciff markets where I ran into Clarkey and Claude. The usual coffee and juice, with shades of Sunday-morning recovery.
1:00 pm: Marcel AKA Crazy German Guy came over for a bit, I did housework and started on the beers. We played around with an _old_ video projector which I was hoping touse for an upcoming film night. It's pretty well f*cked. I made some food for later in the day.
3:30 pm: Went for a canoe with Dan, first time I've taken old faithful on top of the Datto. Not too bad, but carrying it into the water was a bit of an effort.
We saw a croc!
No shit, it's the first time I've ever seen one in my life..and this after 3 years of telling everyone " Nah there's no crocs in there, I go in there all the time and have never seen one". Anyway, it wasn't that big, I'd say around two metres. We only saw it for about 5 seconds...followed by some rapid reverse-paddling!
6:30pm: Went to Bert and Tammy's for a Spanish-themed dinner thing.
I made soem Gazpacho which actually turned out Ok.
A few beers and some music on the lawn, then I decided to retire relatively early - as I now am goal-less no longer - Brown shall ride again!
That's right, Marcel has volunteered to help me fix Mr B...so hopefully this will be enough impetutus for meto get off my arse and actually bite the bullet - strip out the engine, get it rebuilt, meanwhile fixing all the rust and assorted other bits.
Marcel wants to go to Kakadu in July, so who am I to refuse?
Dave
