Reminder

This is just to remind you (all?) that my other blog is still there, and gets concurrently updated along with this one. Most of the stuff in there is pretty nerdy, but some is funny enough for you "normal" people too...I just can't be bothered posting 2 different blogs about the same stuff.

So to avoid missing even _more_ japes, check in there occasionally.

(Just a quick scan of the pictures will tell you if there's anything worthy going on ....I don't expect you to fish through endless discussions of chipsets, antenna gain, differential signalling and the like!)

Please feel free to comment, so I know what you freaks think of this thing.

Choda Girl says: "I like your blog. It's funny."

Thanks Choda.

In other news...I just spent the evening re-organising the lounge room..
It's coming together nicely...

I just chucked up a LARGE whiteboard, to help Nic and I with brainstorming sessions.

I lurve big power tools.

The End

This one's for Uncle Vince

....seeing as how he's probably the only one reading this fooey.

Today was interesting.

As usual, we knocked off work at 2pm (P.O.E.T.S day) which is always a Good Thing. Had the compulsory cuppla beers and talked a bit of shit, then headed home. Instead of following tradition and continuing the sesh at home, I decided to be a rebel and stay right off it.

So I basically bummed on the PC for far too many hours, waiting for something to happen. Nothing came up, except an invite to a LAN gaming party, which isn't exactly my scene. Headed into town, to go to the Darwin Festival which is well worth a look if you happen to be local. (Not that there is a a snowflake's chance in hell of anyone local reading this...)

It was all good, but I foolishly forgot to grab any spondoolies..so I couldn't get into the area where the bands were. Someone told me I should go to the casino, they (of course) have ATMs there. I've so far managed to avoid going there, but it wasn't far and I got there in about 2 minutes.

(This story is going somewhere, I'm just being longwinded. You don't get quality or regularity in this blog, only rare bursts of verbal diarhoea.)

So in the casino I am pretty sure I saw The Girl From the Sandwich Shop. Got my $$, headed back to the fest after a bit of perving and snooping around. Seen one casino, seen them all I reckon. Got back, paid up, went into the gig, and saw Phil The Bassist Who Is In Many Bands playing on stage. Hadn't planned it, but there he was. Was good music to boot. Shortly after this I saw Matt The Phantom Roommate for maybe the 3rd time since I have moved in here. To round it all off, I then saw Mick Thomas The Lead Singer From Weddings Parties Anything.

I guess what I am trying to say here is: Darwin is fucking SMALL!

In other news since my last entry:

The party was Ok, met some intersting people.

The footy was good even though the game itself sucked. I got on TV a couple of times.

I am getting dicked around by the licensing authorities up here. Looks like I will end up having to do a course to prove I can do something I have been doing for 9 years. (Hi Penny, if you are reading this.)

Here is a pic of Vince with a shocking hangover:
(I feel for you man, really I feel your pain)

and one of me trying to do a screencap from my webcam.
No not drunk, just hyped up on 6 or 7 OJs)

3am, gotta crash. I'm off to the beach and then some VB coding assistance for Elendil.

Catchyas!

32!

Yay...another birthday under my belt..
Didn't do much in particular, went out for a few drinks, not a late one or anything.

Have been settling in slowly...will be here at Nic's for the forseeable future (3 months I'd say)

Work is interesting...need to get my head around all the paperwork and procedures, and try and get thing working a bit more smoothly for me.

Haven't shipped my stuff from Melbs...had a bit of a rain-damage issue...so Mum is repacking all my stuff! (Hopefully she doesn't look to hard at the contents of the boxes)

Tonight I am going to a party in Ludmilla, and possibly to an AFL game before that, if I can wake up properly!

Ended up sleeping in the back of Em's PV last night, dozed off on the way home.

Hope you are having a pleasant time wherever you are..

Busy Busy

Ok, it's 12:05 am, Tuesday morning.

I have drank far too much beer in the last week...but it seems Ok somehow...must be the weather.

Today was a public holiday for the Darwin Cup (horserace)

I didn't go..instead I did nerd stuff!

Specifically, here is what I did today: Sunday Nerdism
